Love to listen to you guys all the time but I’ve been wondering, what happened to you guys since the end of June? Been checking back every once and a while but I don’t see you updating even a notice of an issue. In other words what happened after AN? Meant to go to the recordings but I had to help my sick buddy.

I don’t think it’ll require a wait time as long as Episode 50; the segments that I was around for really didn’t seem all THAT raunchy to me.

It’s the first 20 or so minutes (that I missed) that I’m interested in hearing. XD

Not really Walt since I won’t really be seeing much of Fan Expo. I’d say it’s more just summer….and the fact that we did tape episode 77 about a month ago and I’m still recovering from it…

Alright to the retard that had his rant about cancer. I only hope that you don’t develope ANY form of it. You’re a sad indivdual, and I’ve decided not contiune listening to your cast. I’m sure some might not have an issue with this (ie the other tossers that had a few giggles during the rant), but for some with it we don’t need to have it classed as…. forget it the fact that I am bothering with this is a waste of time. You do have issues, but those are for others to complain about, just keep to anime and stay off topics that hopefully will never affect you.

I remember Smurf village and how sad I was when they told me I was to old to enter it and then, years later, I found out it was gone. Oh well. I still do go to the Ex every year. In recent years, I go mostly for the (junk) food. I’ve eaten things there that I’ve decided to never eat again: deep-fried Mars bar on a stick comes to mind.

As for the Junko Mizuno exhibit, I wanted to go. Her works are interesting in terms of how her characters & her take on classic tales are this twisted juxtaposition of cute+grotesque. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend; too busy with prepping for FanExpo and a wedding stuff.

I’m a fan of Junko Mizuno. I really like how her stuff is pretty mature — like there’s open nudity and stuff — but it’s done in a style that at first glance, most people would think is for a younger audience. I didn’t go to that thing, though, ‘cuz her kind of art doesn’t really fit with my “scene” — cutesy gothic loli — I might have stood out and have gotten some weird looks. =P

If I go to Anime North next year, I would definitely book a room at the Renaissance. Otherwise, I would never check out anything there. ^.^” The locations are really too spread apart, in my opinion, especially for fans who are interested in everything.

Great episode as always guys. It was also cool to finally have James make a cameo, even if it was barely a speaking role.

Random observation; I think Mike swore on air more in this episode than he has in the last year of the podcast at least. XD

Having seen the clip, it does seem like Adam was more toned down in comparison to the episode tapings, though it was still rather amusing to watch.

Luckily, I have not run across any traces of elitism at my anime club – at least not yet.

Also, the Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan special has already aired, so it seems. I’m eagerly awaiting a fansub release of this special.

That would be interesting to see indeed.

Upon listening to the episode again, while I personally have no problem with the multitude of English voice actors as guests every year, I have to agree with part of Adam’s talk about having Japanese guests. For such a big convention, I find it rather saddening that only one Japanese guest is obtained per year, let alone the number of guests that even come to Canada. I don’t know if it’s due to the con being fan-run, lack of connections, lack of funds, or for whatever legitimate reason. But since Canada/Toronto only tends to get one Japanese guest a year (2-3 if we’re lucky – I’m going to assume that Buzz Aldrin was the reason why there was no Japanese guest last year at Fan Expo), seeing another Japanese guest at Anime North in the future would be pretty nice.

Skwerly, kind of helps that I know you too. But speaking personally there always was a general discomfort in asking a complete stranger to pose for a photo. But at my age now, there’s another dimension added to that discomfort.

Oh for reference, I’ve made it a point not to show the photo to Adam…so he still has no clue what you might look like.
