Anime Roundtable #53

Neil makes his first appearance of the season, and find out what he and Adam say about Clarissa when she’s not here. Also some video game talk, and Neil’s take on Fan Expo in the idle talk. Then getting down to business, we talk about the end of Toonami and what to look forward to in Anime on TV in the future, then a lone bullet about a widower and an inflatable doll…do you think we should have talked about Japan’s new Prime Minister instead?

    Hi Guys,

I have anime on demand on digital cable. Its called Anime Nextwork. Subscriptions costs about $8.00 a month.
It has Super Happy Anime Funtime, Anime Power (I Think) and Girl Power. The anime is a combo of old school ex. Yugo the Negiotator and more recent Shingu. It also has Red Garden.
So its better than nothing. All dubs no subs.
G4 did play Samurai Champloo in Japanese with no English subs. A good laugh trying to figure out what is going on. 🙂

Only thing on YTV is Bleach.

    Nice episode, guys.

I don’t know, I can’t help but begin to worry about YTV, since they didn’t pick up a single title targeted towards a teen audience this year. You’d think they’d at least pick up Code Geass, or Gundam 00. (Personally, I think that Gurren Lagann feels like the least likely of the three big mecha Bandai Ent. titles to be pick up by YTV.)

And on top of all that, seeing Blue Dragon on Bionix makes me cry a little inside. Zatch Bell! I can let slide, since it’s been on Fridays for a couple of years now, and is only lightly edited (and I actually like the show quite a bit). This isn’t the case for Blue Dragon.

That was fun. As always, the side stories were laughable and brilliant. Zombies 🙂 No comment on the necro-pedophilia topic.
